Don't Waste Time
Life Shouldn't Be Short! Don't Let Poor Health Hold You Back.
If you’ve been struggling with symptoms that never seem to fully resolve, then it’s likely the underlying causes have not been addressed. The Rasayana Wellness Method™ helps uncover why symptoms develop and guides your body back toward lasting health using only natural therapies.
You’re in the right place if you experience any of the following:
- want to decrease the need for medications
- struggling with symptoms that you’ve had for a while
- feel out of balance
- always feel drained of energy
- isolate yourself from family & friends because you don’t feel your best
- want natural support for symptoms
We’re ready to guide you on your wellness journey.
Focus On Root Cause Solutions, Not Symptoms
True wellness is more than symptom relief. It includes feeling vibrant, clear-minded, well-rested, and energized for daily life. The most natural way to achieve this is by addressing the root causes of poor health rather than simply managing symptoms.
Because every system in the body is connected, symptoms are often just a clue and not the whole story. Most insurance-based visits are limited to short appointments focused on a single complaint and are often treated with prescriptions.
Our approach is different. We take the time needed to understand the full picture of your health, identify the underlying root causes of your symptoms, and guide you with a personalized plan to naturally optimize your health and longevity.
Yes, let’s address the root cause!
The Rasayana Wellness Method™
The Rasayana Wellness Method™ is a root-cause approach designed to uncover why symptoms develop and guide the body toward long-term health.
We believe the body has an innate ability to heal when given the right environment. Taking a comprehensive view of your health helps identify the underlying causes of your symptoms. Then we address those issues by strengthening our unique 8 Foundations of Vitality—nourishment, gut health, stress, detoxification, sleep, hormones, movement, and inflammation.
Rather than quick fixes or temporary relief, this approach supports meaningful, lasting change from the inside out. Clients move through a six-phase process designed to provide clarity, direction, and ongoing support as your health improves.
Discover
We begin with functional lab testing & a comprehensive consult to understand your symptoms, health history, lifestyle patterns, & goals.
Clarify
We review your findings together so you gain clear insight into how your body is functioning and what may be contributing to your symptoms.
Design
We create a personalized wellness plan with guidance on nutrition, movement, lifestyle habits, supplements, and natural therapies.
Activate
You begin putting your wellness plan into practice while becoming more mindful and intentional about the habits that support your health.
Refine
As your body responds, we track progress, repeat labs when needed, and adjust your plan to support continued improvement.
Thrive
With supportive habits established, the focus shifts toward maintaining your progress and continuing to thrive long term.

Hi, I'm LaShea Headen, ND
“We’ve been fed a myth that life is too short. We simply need the proper guidance & tools to own our health so we can live healthier, happier, and longer, naturally.”
Empowering adults to optimize their health started with my own journey of trying to find longterm relief for chronic health symptoms. For years, I struggled in the conventional healthcare system so I understand your frustration of being stuck in that endless cycle of doctor visits and medications without ever truly feeling better. That experience led me to a different path that looks at the whole person, not just the symptoms.
We shouldn’t suffer with conditions that can be eliminated naturally. There’s no magic pill or quick fixes! It’s a process, but I’m here to guide you if you’re ready to get to the heart of what’s going on in your body & learn a holistic approach.
I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor in Washington, DC and provide holistic, wellness-focused support for adults everywhere! I received my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now known as Sonoran University Of Health Sciences).
FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
What sets Rasayana Holistic Health apart from conventional medicine?
A large part of our Rasayana Wellness Method™ is helping you shift your mindset and make sustainable lifestyle changes, not simply telling you to take a supplement. While supplements may sometimes be used as a tool, they are only one part of a broader plan designed to improve how your body functions long-term.
This kind of meaningful change takes time and guidance. Our work together is an ongoing process where we support you as you implement healthier habits and address the root causes of your symptoms. Many clients choose to invest in their health through our self-pay model because they value this deeper level of personalized attention that provides clarity and support that’s not typically available with insurance limitations.
Can I use insurance?
At this time, most insurance plans are designed to cover diagnosis and treatment, such as prescription medications, procedures, or surgery. Our approach focuses on identifying root causes, supporting the body naturally, and providing the ongoing guidance needed to improve and optimize your health.
Because of this, our services are not covered by insurance and are offered on a self-pay basis. This model allows us to spend more time with you and focus on personalized care without the limitations and administrative requirements often associated with insurance.
Many clients find that investing in their health in this way allows them to receive the level of attention, education, and ongoing support needed to create meaningful improvements in how they feel.
We work with adults in a variety of financial situations and strive to make our services accessible whenever possible, so please feel free to contact us for more information.
Do I have to be local to get support?
No. You do not need to live in the Washington, DC area to receive holistic wellness support. Our programs are offered virtually through phone and video consultations, allowing you to receive guidance from the comfort of your home.
For clients outside the area, our work together focuses on consultation, education, and wellness mentoring to help you understand your body and implement natural strategies that support optimal health.
Our services are designed to complement, not replace, care from your licensed healthcare provider. Holistic wellness support does not diagnose, treat, or cure disease but focuses on lifestyle, nutrition, and other natural approaches that address the root causes of symptoms and support overall well-being.
What is the difference between Naturopathic Doctors vs Functional Medicine Doctors vs Nutritionist?
What is naturopathic medicine?
Naturopathic medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than simply suppressing them. It takes a comprehensive approach to restoring and maintaining optimal health while supporting the body’s natural ability to heal. Pharmaceutical or surgical interventions are considered when necessary, but the emphasis is first on natural therapies and lifestyle-based care.
Naturopathic doctors often spend more time with you and develop a deeper connection to understand your whole story and provide individualized support. Conventional medicine does not.
Naturopathic Medicine Education
In states where naturopathic doctors are licensed, they must graduate from an accredited, in-residence doctoral-level naturopathic medical program that includes supervised clinical training. They must also pass the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations (NPLEX).
This training includes conventional medical sciences and treatment, as well as a wide range of natural therapies such as nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, exercise, lifestyle and other holistic approaches that support the body as a whole.
It’s important to make sure your naturopathic practitioner received a degree from an accredited college, not an online course.
How does this compare to functional medicine?
Functional medicine doctors are typically conventionally trained physicians (MDs or DOs). Their training begins within the conventional medical model, which emphasizes pharmaceutical and surgical treatments for disease. They later pursue additional courses or programs in functional medicine which evolved from the principles of naturopathic medicine or naturopathy.
While the training pathways differ in certain aspects, both functional medicine and naturopathic medicine share a similar philosophy of looking for root causes and supporting overall health.
How is this different from working with a nutritionist?
Nutritionists primarily focus on diet and nutritional guidance to support health concerns. Depending on their training and licensure, some may also help interpret lab results related to nutrition or metabolic health.
Can I book individual sessions instead of a membership?
Yes. Individual sessions are available for those who prefer a more flexible approach or only need occasional guidance.
However, many clients choose a membership because improving health often requires ongoing support, accountability, and adjustments along the way. Memberships allow for regular check-ins, continued education, and refinements to your wellness plan as your body responds.
Memberships are also offered at a low monthly cost and include benefits not available with individual sessions, such as discounts on professional-quality supplements and other member-only savings.
Both options are available, and during your consultation we can discuss which level of support may be the best fit for your needs and goals.
How much does it cost?
Your first step is a complimentary discovery call, where we discuss your health concerns and determine whether this approach is the right fit for you.
If you decide to move forward, we schedule a 1 hour initial consultation ($250–$350). During this session, we take a comprehensive look at your health history and goals and determine the most appropriate next steps.
Ongoing support is available through membership programs starting at $89 per month, and we also offer individual sessions for those who prefer.
If functional lab testing is recommended, those tests are ordered through third-party laboratories and are paid for separately. Some clients have copies of lab results from their doctor.
Will you be my primary care physician?
Some states do not currently have licensure for naturopathic doctors. There are many associations working to change that so everyone can access safer and more effective natural health care.
LaShea Headen, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Washington, DC only. As such, she does not provide diagnosis, medical treatment, prescribe, or manage medication for anyone outside of Washington DC.
However, we can provide holistic support that is complimentary to the care you receive from your licensed healthcare provider but that support should not be used as a substitute for seeing your local healthcare provider.

Longterm Relief For Chronic Symptoms
Conventional medicine can save lives in certain conditions like diabetes type 1, but it doesn’t work for lots of other chronic conditions. Millions of people are on medications for many years and still don’t feel well! (do not stop taking your medications, that can be dangerous and you need to consult with your doctor)
Sometimes, medications are just putting a bandaid on your symptoms so you have the illusion of feeling better for a short period of time. They may also have serious side effects. This is not fixing the root cause of poor health.
We can guide & empower you to optimize your health and achieve lasting results naturally. It’s time to put your health first. Go ahead, contact us today to start your wellness journey!
Why We Love Helping You Look and Feel Your Best
Rasayana is an Ayruvedic term that means “Path of Essence“. It refers to the natural therapies that lead to optimal wellness, lengthen the lifespan, and invigorate the body.

We help reduce the risk of having those conditions by mentoring our members on how to use healthy lifestyle habits and food to heal their body & optimize their health.
This results in living healthier and longer, naturally. The way God intended. So schedule your discovery call today and partner with us for holistic wellness.
